DIOR SADDLE CHAIN CLUTCH

Categories:Designer Shoes

Not in love with the Dior Saddle Bag? But you are crazy about the concept. How about the Dior Saddle Clutch With Chain? Enjoy the exact same features but carry the bag in rectangle shape.

The only question left is: ‘which color?’.

The Design

Just like the Wallet On Chain, the Saddle Chain Clutch is the perfect day to evening bag in mini shape. However, we do not belief the interior space differ much from the Saddle Bag.

The Saddle Chain Clutch is available in single color leathers or multicolor canvas. While the shape is rectangle (and we absolute love that), the other details remain the same as the Saddle Bag. For example, the flap is lined like a Saddle and it features two leather tassels with one attached to the D for Dior logo.

The Bijoux Chain is absolutely amazing and ladylike. The chain is 120 cm and can be used to carry on the shoulder or crossbody. And we also adore the gold hardware.

What’s more? Remove the chain to transform the bag from a day bag to a clutch bag.

The Interior

The inside of the bag is not huge but it’s crafted with useful compartments. There are 4 card slots, 1 flat pocket and 1 zipped pocket available.

The Sizes And Prices

Measuring 22 x 14.5 x 3.5 cm, priced at €1600 EUR, £1450 GBP, ₩2500000 WON via Dior boutique.

CHANEL PRICE DECREASE 2018 IN MALAYSIA COMPARED TO OTHER COUNTRIES

Categories:Christian Louboutin

Chanel-Price-comparison-malaysia-thumb3

On June 2018, we released an extensive Chanel Price Increase Report with the biggest story about the price decreases in Malaysia due to the elimination of the consumer tax (also known as GST).

But is it cheaper to buy in Malaysia?

That’s the real question ladies. And we’re here to answer it.

THE CHANEL PRICE REPORT 2018 OVERVIEW
  • Chanel Price Decrease 2018 In Malaysia Compared To Other Countries
  • Chanel Price Increase Report June 2018
  • Chanel Price Increase Report March 2018
  • Chanel Price Increase Report February 2018
  • Chanel Price Increase Report December 2017

The prices of the M/L Classic Flap Bags went down by 14%. The prices of the Classic Boy Bags went also down by more than 14%. And we’ve seen the seasonal bags dropping by 5.66 to 6%.

Amazing right? Everything is on sales? We should fly to Malaysia and load up our bags?

Hold right there! Before you go on shopping spree in Malaysia, you need to read this report first in order to discover whether it’s currently the cheapest place to shop Chanel.

We need to do some research right? Shopping ain’t easy, we know.

1. The price research

“Let’s say you’re a true travel girl and wants to fly around the world. You want to know which country is the cheapest to buy Chanel Bags and you’ve heard about the enormous price decreases in Malaysia. If you hop on the airplane to France or Singapore, you’re eligible for tax-refund. But you keep wondering: ‘is it really a lot cheaper to buy in Malaysia today?’. And you wish there was a cheat sheet.”
So how are we going to conduct this research:
  • 1. We are going to compare the prices of Malaysia with the following countries:
  • United States Canada Euro countries
    United Kingdom Singapore Hong Kong
    Australia Japan China
    Korea Thailand
  • 2. Then we’re going to compare the prices of the Classic Flap Bags, Classic Boy Bags and the Seasonal Bags. Or not?
  • 3. As final, we’re going to make a conclusion about whether it’s really cheaper to buy in Malaysia today.

So let’s get started…

2. The Classic Flap Bag Malaysia Price Comparison

Chanel-Price-comparison-malaysia-2

Chanel Classic Flap Bag

Let’s begin with comparing the retail prices versus the prices without Tax.

In the analysis below, we’re going to take the Chanel Small Classic Flap Bag as an example. We’re going to use the current prices as per 30 June 2018 from different countries to do the comparison.

Secondly, the ‘Price Without Tax’ means that the retail prices are deducted from consumer tax through the tax-refund process.

Note that some countries do not allow tax-refund, such as Canada.

2a. The retail prices versus prices exclusive tax

COUNTRY RETAIL PRICES PRICE WITHOUT TAX
United States $4700 $4700
Euro countries €3990 €3432
United Kingdom £3560 £3079
Singapore $6800 $6417
Hong Kong $36600 $36600
Australia $6450 $5864
Japan ¥551880 ¥518665
China ¥32800 ¥29848

Malaysia 18220 MYR 18220 MYR
South Korea 5600000 WON 5150000 WON
Thailand ฿159500 ฿148915

2b. Converting the MYR prices

The next thing we’re going to do, is to take the Small Classic Flap Bag in MYR price. Then convert the MYR price into the currencies of other countries.

And use the converted prices to compare with the prices (tax excluded) of other countries.

For example:

The ‘Price Without Tax’ of the Small Classic Flap Bag in Euro countries is €3432 euro.

The current price of the Small Classic Flap Bag in Malaysia is 18220 MYR.

Convert 18220 MYR to euro is: €3875 euro.

*Currency conversion rate as per 29-6-2018.

COUNTRY PRICE WITHOUT TAX MYR PRICES CONVERTED
United States $4700 $4514
Euro countries €3432 €3875
United Kingdom £3079 £3454
Singapore $6417 $6159
Hong Kong $36600 $35543
Australia $5864 $6132

2c. The differences and the results

Now to make things more interesting, we’re going to calculate the differences.

As an example:

The ‘Price Without VAT’ of the Small Classic Flap Bag in euro countries is €3432 euro.

The price in Malaysia is 18220 MYR. 18220 MYR converted to euro is: €3875 euro.

    The difference is: €3432 euro – €3875 euro = -€444 euro.

So the conclusion here is: it’s cheaper to buy in euro countries than in Malaysia.

2d. The Classic Bag conclusion

It’s more expensive to buy the Classic Bags in the US than in Malaysia. However, it’s cheaper to buy in euro countries (including the UK) than in Malaysia.

But take also note that there aren’t much differences in prices between China and Malaysia.

We took the Small Classic Flap Bag as example. But this analysis is also an conclusion for all Classic Bags and Accessories. It includes all Classic Flap Bag sizes like the Small, Jumbo, Maxi, XXL and also the Reissue 2.55 in size 224, 225, 226 and 227.

3. The Classic Boy Bag Malaysia Price Comparison

For example:

The ‘Price Without Tax’ of the Medium Classic Boy Bag (Old Medium) in Euro countries is €3423 euro.

The current price of the Medium Classic Boy Bag (Old Medium) in Malaysia is 18170 MYR.

Convert 18220 MYR to euro is: €3864 euro.

4b. Converting the MYR prices

For example:

Now let’s see the differences.

As an example:

The ‘Price Without VAT’ of the Small Coco Luxe Flap Bag in euro countries is €3862 euro.

The price in Malaysia is 22200 MYR. 22200 MYR converted to euro is: €4719 euro.

    The difference is: €3862 euro – €4719 euro = -€858 euro.

So what’s the conclusion? It’s much cheaper to buy seasonal bags in euro countries than in Malaysia.

COUNTRY PRICE WITHOUT TAX CHEAPER OR EXPENSIVE TO SHOP IN MALAYSIA?

4d. The seasonal Bag conclusion

If you’re hunting for any seasonal bags, do not shop in Malaysia because it’s much more expensive there.

And that despite of the recent price drop? (You ask?)

Yes, but the price drop of the seasonal bags weren’t as high as the Classic Bags remember? It was only 5 – 6%.

80S MAKEUP: TOP TRENDS TO CHANNEL YOUR INNER STAR

Categories:Fashion

Photo: Depositphotos.comPhoto: Depositphotos.com

Those who lived through the 10 years known as the 80s, they know the period was a very interesting moment in history. Beauty had some highs and lows during the 80s. The good news is that the trends of the 80s makeup are making a big comeback some 30 years later.

Before we go to the trends of the 80s makeup, we have to mention that ladies of the 80s wore a lot of makeup. But hey, those girls just wanted to have fun, right? With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the trends that are making a big comeback.

BLUE, PURPLE, AND PINK EYESHADOW

Being a cool girl in the 80s meant having a colorful eyeshadow. And your normal colors didn’t do the trick. Back in the 80s, if you wanted to be cool, you had to have some unusual color for your eyeshadow. Think of blue, pink, and purple. And some girls even combined all of these colors at once. Talk about colorful makeup.

ROCKER EYE/PINK LIP COMBO

Nowadays, we see some ladies rock the pink lip, or the rocker eye. But rarely we see these two combinations together. That is what made the 80s a “hot mess”.

When done lightly, the look works wonderfully. Make sure to define your lower lashes. If you want to be as authentic as possible, strive for that raccoon look of the 80s.

MUTED LIP

This sophisticated look has been around for a while. Some few years ago, designers like Gucci, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, and others opted for lips either dabbed with balm or blotted with the faintest hint of color. Muted lips are not “naked mouths”. The latter is an overall rejection of makeup, while the former is a sophisticated makeup look.

SUNNY SHADES

In the 80s, men and women loved to dress up for going to the beach. And that meant a lot of coral lipstick, shimmery-gold eyeshadow, and other sunny shades incorporated in your makeup. You can definitely see why this trend is making a comeback. Ladies nowadays love to look like bronze goddesses, and the 80s makeup makes that possible.

LASH-TO-LID EYESHADOW

This is something our parents used to do all the time. The latest eyeshadow trend to hit Instagram is a wash of powdery shadow extending from lash to lid. It is very easy to master the technique, and you can even use your fingers.

Photo: Depositphotos.comPhoto: Depositphotos.com

HEAVY EYELINER

As mentioned previously, raccoon eyes were popular back in the days. Folks were keen on creating them on purpose. To get the look, you had to trace the tops and bottoms of each lid with matte black eyeliner, and then smudge it all together. The result was rock-n-roll vibes that you have to love. Nowadays, we use a gel pot or satin crayon for this particular look.

NEON EVERYTHING

We talked about how colors were a huge part of the 80s makeup. And that means a lot of neon colors. Back in the days, you could see neon colors on leg warmers and fanny packs, and even on headbands. The neon colors made their way to the lipstick industry, producing colors like electric pink, which can flatten nearly all skin tones.

BOLD AND BUSHY BROWS

Thick and natural eyebrows are now more popular than ever. That is an 80s makeup trend that we managed to incorporate easily thanks to models like Cara Delevigne. You need to brush a brow gel, tinted or clear through your eyebrows in the morning, and go from there.

DRAPING

Speaking of interesting and unique techniques, we have to speak about draping, or contouring with blush. The technique is known as “color grow”, and it has been around for a while. With this technique, you use a blush not only on your cheeks, but you blend it all over. The result is a higher and sharper cheekbones that look as intense as ever.

STATEMENT LASHES

Some 10 years ago, everything else than black mascara was a no-no. Nowadays, however, colored mascara is making a big comeback. The plain old black is just way too boring. We have burgundy to complement any eyeshadow color, or turquoise for your hazel eyes. The colored mascara is so popular, you can even mix and match the shades by applying one color on the top, and another one to the bottom lashes. The result is more flair than ever.

METALLIC LIPSTICK

Thanks to the 80s makeup making a comeback, we have frosted lips again. This time around, there are more options to choose from than in the 80s. Back in the 80s, you had only baby pink.

WHY ARE 80S MAKING A COMEBACK?

The 80s were a time of extremes in fashion, music, and makeup. But they were also a time of major creativity. In the 80s, people heard for the very first time of things like colored mascara. While nowadays coating your lashes with shades of burnt orange, green, or cobalt is normal, back in the 80s, colored mascara was a revolution.

The good news is 80s vibes look better than ever. Nowadays, we have 80s makeup, but done in a pretty way.
